Harry Potter at Islands of Adventure Universal Studios Florida

For March Break we went to Florida. My favourite part was going to Universal Parks in Orlando. Me and my mom and my Poppa and Nana and my little sister. We went to 2 different parks. One was Islands of Adventure and the other one was Universal Studios. They were so cool.

My favourite part at Islands of Adventures was the Harry Potter area. They had made the village of Hogsmede from the books and it looked real. Like really real.

You could go in to the shops. They had a wand store. You can buy Butterbeer. It's really yummy.

Harry Potter are my favourite books and movies. I have read every one and seen every movie. My Nana and I are going to do a movie marathon and watch all the movies again together. She hasn't seen all of them yet.

The best part about the Harry Potter world was the rides. They were so cool. The best was Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey. You get to walk inside the castle. Dumbledore is there and so is Harry and Hermoine and Ron. The pictures all move and talk to you. The ride is so much fun. I went on it twice.

Mom says we can go back another time and stay at the resort. I can't wait to go again.

I like to swim

We are in Florida and the house we are in has a pool. My sister and I are swimming a lot. The pool is a little cold when you first get in but then it feels warm after a couple minutes. I get in near the jet that squirts out warm water so it's easier to get in.

My mom bought me this tire tube. It is nice for relaxing. My sister got a Finding Nemo one and she likes it a lot.

I am happy that I know how to swim really good. My sister and I take lessons in the summer time. We go to a place called Pegasus Swimming and it's really great. I am the best at diving down and getting stuff off the bottom of the pool.  My teacher is nice. 

I can't wait to start lessons again. I think every kid needs to learn to swim good.

Toys and Games

Toys and games are things boys like me love the most. Especially video games. I like games like Disney Infinity, Skylanders, Mario and Minecraft. For toys I like Lego & stuffed animals.

If you don't know what some of those games are then go to https://minecraft.net/ for Minecraft.  For Skylanders do http://www.skylanders.com/ and for Disney Infinity go to disney infinity characters.

If you have to buy a present for a boy who is around my age, like 8 or 7 or 9, then you are safe to buy anything that has to do with those games.

I am mostly playing Skylanders right now because it is newer. I play it on my Nintendo Wii.  I don't have Disney Infinity yet but am saving my money to buy it. I like to play it when I go to my friends houses. I will have to do a lot of extra chores to save up for it.

Family day

Today is family day. I went to my aunt Sandra's house. It was fun, I played on the drums. I also played outside and built a snow fort, it was not very good though.  I played ball inside ahhhhhh. And it was a very good lunch she made.

We had a lot of fun but when it was time to go I was sad.

Sick day home from school

I'm home from school because I'm sick. I'm in my room lying in my bed. Watching video and writing stuff like this. My throat and my chest hurts. My coughs hurt sometimes, they feel like rocks in my throat and other times the feel like spikes in my throat.

What it takes to have a pet

I love pets. I have 2 dogs. Their names are Holly and Eva.  I have a hamster named Mr. Bob.  I have 2 fish named Goldie and Rainbow.

I help my parents take the dogs out and feed them.  I sometimes feed the fish. I play with my hamster and my dogs.

It is really hard to have a pet. You need to know how to have a pet.

Here are my best tips:

1) Dogs

What it takes to have a dog is that you have to feed it once or twice daily and let it outside a few times.  At least once in the morning, once after school and once before bed.

You have to make sure they are safe. We use a crate so they are not running around the house unsupervised. We have a pen in the backyard that they do their business in.  It keeps them safe from the toys and garden tools that might hurt them.

2) Hamsters

To have a hamster, you have to make sure it's in a cage because they are really small and they can run under stuff easily and you might not see them.

You can add pipes to the cage or a wheel for them to run on and get exercise. Sometimes when your mom says it's okay, you can get a box and play with them in the box.

To feed them you need a little bowl that you can put in the cage with their food.  They also need fresh clean water in their water bottle.  You need to change the shavings often or the cage will start to stink.  Ew!

Make sure you don't get pipes that are too small for your hamster or he could get stuck. Make sure to block any holes in the cage so he doesn't get out by accident.  Trust me, they are very hard to find when they get loose.

3) Fish

Make sure the tank has clean water and change it every couple of weeks.  Feed them every night.  Read the package and give them the amount of food that the package says.

Make sure you know what kind of fish it is so you buy the right kind of food and keep the tank at the best temperature.  You also need to make sure you have the right size tank for the kind of fish you have.

Mr. Bob sleeps when I'm awake because he is a nocturnal animal.  After I go to bed, he wakes up and runs on his wheel all night. 

This is Mr. Bob's wheel.  He sometimes puts pieces of food in there and when he runs it makes a lot of noise.
